Pastry Basics

Pastry can be tricky as it takes patience and time, but once you’ve started to learn the basics you’ll be able to enjoy making a wide variety off sweet or savoury tarts, pies, and puffs.

In this class we’d focus on the key areas of working with pastry, you’ll make your own sweet shortcrust pastry and learn how to work with shop-bought puff pastry. 

We’ll make three pastry based goodies such as 

  • Raspberry Bakewell Tart
  • Lemon Meringue Pie
  • Tart Tatin 

We’ll bake together in this class to make the most of the time. The class will take around 3 ½ hours and can be arranged for a weekday morning or afternoon at my own kitchen in Cumnor, West Oxford.
